Odenton, MD : Man injured after a traffic accident in the 1700 block of Crossroads Drive on Wednesday morning, Oct 14, 2015

A man was flown to the hospital after a traffic accident Wednesday morning in Odenton, Anne Arundel fire officials said.

The accident occurred around 9:40 a.m. in the 1700 block of Crossroads Drive. Firefighters arrived to find a box truck that had collided with a tractor trailer.

A man estimated to be in his late 20s was stuck inside the box truck. It took firefighters about 40 minutes to free the man from the vehicle.

He was airlifted to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center by a state police helicopter with possibly serious injuries, fire officials said.
