TUSCALOOSA, AL : Bessemer man killed in Tuscaloosa Co crash on Friday, 2nd August 2024

A Bessemer man has died in a single-vehicle crash in Tuscaloosa.

ALEA has identified the man as Wayne A. Chastine. He was 57. Chastine was killed when his car left the road, hit a tree and flipped over. He was not wearing a seatbelt, according to ALEA.

Charles D. Woods, 64, of Tuscaloosa, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was injured and taken to DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa for treatment.

The crash happened on Alabama 216 near the 16 mile marker, approximately five miles east of Brookwood in Tuscaloosa County.
