Nashville, TN : Four people suffered minor injuries in MTA bus crash in South Nashville on Monday, July 25, 2016

Four people suffered minor injuries after a Nashville Metropolitan Transit Authority bus collided with a car in South Nashville.

The wreck was reported at 1:46 p.m. at the intersection of Nolensville Pike and Veritas Street, a Metro police dispatcher said.

The injured passengers were thrown forward after the bus struck a vehicle that attempted to pull out in front of it as it traveled down Nolensville Pike, according to an officer at the scene.

The passengers complained of neck soreness. Ambulances were dispatched to the scene.

After the passengers left, another bus driver came to replace the Route 52-A Limited bus driver while she was taken by an MTA supervisor to receive medical attention and a drug test as a matter of precaution.

Police said the bus was likely going about 5 mph at the time of impact.
