Leesburg, VA : Motorcyclist involved in crash with Leesburg commissioner dies on May 13th 2014
The motorcyclist that was in a crash with a Leesburg City Commissioner last month died Monday night, police said.
The incident happened during Bikefest, in Lake County, on April 27.
The driver of the motorcycle, Steve Tuttle, 46, was traveling south on U.S. Highway 441 in the right lane when Leesburg City Commissioner Jay Hurley, who was traveling in the same direction, tried to make a sharp right turn from the center lane.
The motorcycle struck the side of Hurley's Ford F-150 pickup truck.
Tuttle was airlifted to Orlando Regional Medical Center.
Hurley wasn't injured in the crash, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
No charges have been filed. The investigation is ongoing.
