NEW CREEK, WV : One flown from coal truck crash in the 1000 block of Laurel Dale Road near the Route 93 intersection on Monday, 6th January, 2020

One person was flown for medical treatment from an accident late Monday afternoon on state Route 93 in Mineral County.

Maryland State Police Trooper 5 helicopter flew the victim from the scene following the 5:15 p.m. accident that reportedly involved a coal truck and a pickup truck.

The Mineral County Sheriff’s Office investigated the crash that occurred in the 1000 block of Laurel Dale Road near the Route 93 intersection.

Another person involved in the two-vehicle crash reportedly declined medical treatment.

New Creek fire and rescue units, Keyser EMS and Valley Medical ambulance also responded to the scene following alert by the Mineral County 911 emergency center.
