Five injured in car crash Near Bristol Tennessee

Five people are recovering after a crash in Bristol, Tennessee.

Officers say the crash happened around 6:00pm on Friday at the White Top Road Intersection with Highway 394 near Bristol Motor Speedway.

We're told a red pick up carrying 3 people was trying to cross the highway, when they say the sun got in the driver's eyes causing her to pull out in front of a Black Chevy Silverado carrying 2 passengers.

They tell us they had to cut one person out of one of the trucks.The crash is still under investigation.
