ST. AUGUSTINE, FL : 29-year-old St. Augustine man killed in St. Johns County crossing State Road 16 on Friday, 19th January 2024

A crash Friday night in St. Augustine left a man dead after he departed the vehicle he was in and crossed State Road 16, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

A sedan driven by a 71-year-old woman was traveling eastbound on State Road 16, west of South Francis Road., at about 8:25 p.m. and hit the pedestrian, a 29-year-old man. It occurred about 13 miles northwest of another fatal crash on U.S. 1.
