Three people were seriously injured during a rollover crash Saturday afternoon near the P Street offramp of the Capital City Freeway, the Sacramento Fire Department reports.
The crash, reported at 2:25 p.m., involved at least four vehicles, including a green sport-utility vehicle that rolled over before resting on the passenger side in the No. 1 lane, according to the California Highway Patrol’s online incident page.
A damaged minivan was pushed against the guard rails of the overpass above Capitol Avenue. A child’s car seat was visible from the open passenger door.
One person was possibly ejected, said Officer Michael Bradley, CHP spokesman, Seven people were transported to the hospital, the Fire Department reports.
As of 3:43 p.m., all lanes of westbound traffic were open, the CHP reports.
