Garfield County, OK : Medford man injured after his truck went off the road in northwest Garfield County on Tuesday morning, November 25, 2014
A Medford man was in stable condition at OU Medical Center Tuesday morning with head and internal injuries after his truck went off the road in northwest Garfield County.
According to a report by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Jeremy Downing, 37, Medford, was westbound on Lake Hellums Road a mile and a half east of Oklahoma 132 when the 2013 Kenworth he was driving left the road, struck a culvert and flipped over onto its top. Downing, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pinned about two and a half hours before being freed by the Hillsdale-Carrier Fire Department.
LIFE EMS took Downing to St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center. He was then taken to OU Medical Center.
According to OHP, the cause of the accident was inattention.
