oddler was killed and several others were injured in a Thursday evening car crash in Huntington Beach, police said. The boy was riding in a car seat in a small compact vehicle when the car collided with a sport utility vehicle in the intersection of Bushard Street and Yorktown Avenue, said Huntington Beach police Lt. Kent Ferrin. The smaller vehicle spun out and struck a light pole, causing the car to cave in where the boy was sitting, Ferrin said. The child was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
