Toledo, OH : Four people injured in one-car crash on the Ohio Turnpike on Sunday, Aug 23, 2015
A group of people injured in a crash on the Ohio Turnpike yesterday is doing fine today, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol's Milan post.
A total of four people were injured in the one-car crash.
One of the car's tires popped in the westbound lanes, between mile markers 107 and 108, just west of the Ohio 4 exit, according to a trooper the Register spoke with Sunday morning.
The driver apparently lost control of the vehicle, which struck two construction barrels and eventually crashing into the turnpike median barrier.
Five people were inside the car — all visiting the area from India — and four were injured.
Medical helicopters transferred the victims to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo.
None of their injuries were life-threatening, the trooper said.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol's Milan post responded to the crash scene, with assistance from Groton Township and Margaretta Township firefighters and North Central EMS.
