Moline, IL : Pedestrian injured in late night Davenport crash on Wednesday, 9th November 2016

A pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries late Wednesday when hit by a passing vehicle.

The Davenport Police Department was called around 10:54 p.m. to the 800 block of East Locust Street for the collision, according to a department news release. The driver, who was alone, was westbound in the northernmost lane when the vehicle struck the pedestrian, who was on the north side of the street.

The victim was taken to Genesis Health System's eastern campus for treatment, but further details about the pedestrian, the driver and the vehicle were not released this morning. The crash remained under investigation.
