SPRINGFIELD, MO : A crash into a hair salon in Springfield on Tuesday, 26th December 2017

Police are investigating a crash into a hair salon in Springfield.

The driver crashed a red sedan into Blondie's on North Kansas Expressway. The crash happened in the 11 a.m. hour. The business happened to be closed.

Police say an elderly woman behind the wheel inadvertently hit the accelerator and struck the building. She, nor her husband in the passenger seat, suffered injuries in the crash. Investigators say it was the only vehicle involved.

The impact of the crash smashed the plate-glass window of the store front.
