Mesa, AZ : One person dead after 3-car crash on tribal land near Mesa on Tuesday afternoon, December 13, 2016

One person is dead after a three-car crash on the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community near Mesa.

Tribal police say the accident occurred late Tuesday afternoon and speed is considered a factor.

TV news footage shows one of the cars had to have its roof cut off by emergency crews to get to the injured driver.

The name of the person killed wasn’t immediately released and there was no word on any other injuries.
