TILDEN TWP, Pa : 1 killed in motorcycle crash on Route 61 near Cabela's on Sunday, 11th September 2016

Berks County officials say at least one person is dead following a crash on Route 61 in Tilden Township, Berks County. The wreck happened Sunday afternoon in the northbound lanes of Route 61 at the I-78 exit ramp near Cabela's. Officials say a motorcycle was involved in the crash. At least one person is dead, and another was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.The Berks County coroner responded to the scene, along with local police and fire officials. County officials say Route 61 northbound was closed for approximately three hours while crews cleared the scene. It has since been reopened. According to a freelance photojournalist, a motorcycle and van were towed from the scene of the crash. Stay with 69 News and WFMZ.com for updates as they become available.
