Six people were injured Wednesday morning, including three children and a baby, in a collision at the intersection of 100 North and 300 East.

Hayley Tweed, 37, was driving a 2011 Chevrolet Suburban west on 100 North at around 7:30 a.m. when she told police a minivan driven by Cassie Smith, 77, ran a stop sign at the intersection of 300 East.

Tweed said she attempted to avoid hitting the minivan, which is registered with Kokomo Cab, but couldn’t avoid a collision and ended up hitting the van on the right side, according to a crash report.

Smith told police he pulled into the intersection and was struck by Tweed.

Tweed and her four daughters – ages, 12, 10, 4 and an infant less than 1 – were all transported to a hospital with complaints of pain, according to the crash report.
