South Kingstown, RI : 31 year-old man was dead when his car crashed into a tree on Sunday night September 7th 2014

A South Kingstown man, 31, was killed when his car crashed into a tree at 10:59 p.m. Sunday, and police are asking anyone who saw the crash to help them piece together what happened. Officers arrived within three minutes to find the car in flames, which were extinguished by Union Fire District and Kingston Fire District firefighters, a news release from the South Kingstown Police Department said on Monday. Robert A. Sheehan of South Kingstown was identified as the occupant of the four-door Toyota Corolla that crashed at Highland Farms, 4235 Tower Hill Rd. He was apparently killed instantly in the crash, the police said. The South Kingstown Accident Reconstruction Unit and the R.I. State Fire Marshal’s Office are investigating.
