Fox Lake, IL : 2 hospitalized after 3-vehicle crash at Route 12 and Sayton Road on Friday, 27th December, 2019

A three-vehicle crash Friday afternoon at Route 12 and Sayton Road in Fox Lake sent two people to the hospital, according to the Fox Lake Fire Protection District.

Battalion Chief Larry VanHoorelbeke said crews were dispatched at 1:52 p.m. to the crash.

None of the three vehicles rolled over during the crash, and the drivers were the only occupants of each car, VanHoorelbeke said.

The crash initially was reported as an incident involving entrapment, and VanHoorelbeke said one of the vehicles had a dented door that had to be pulled open.

Two of the drivers were taken by ambulance to Northwestern Medicine McHenry Hospital as a precaution, but the third driver signed a release at the scene and waived treatment, VanHoorelbeke said.

The three drivers’ names, ages, genders and towns of residence were not released.
