A 6 years child died in West Phoenix

A child has died and another is in critical condition after a pregnant woman crashed her car into a wall in west Phoenix Friday night, according to police.

It occurred at 83rd Avenue and Osborn Road.

Police said the woman was driving a Ford SUV and sideswiped another vehicle, then apparently overcorrected and crashed into the wall.

The woman, who was 7 months pregnant, was rushed to a hospital.

A 6-year-old child riding in the SUV was killed and a 4-year-old child is in critical condition, according to police.

Police said the woman was wearing her seat belt but the children were not.

The collision is under investigation.
