Boone Grove,IN : Boone County crash of two semis on I-65 on August, Wednesday 2nd 2017
Indiana State Police are still sorting through the details of a late Wednesday A.M. rush hour crash in Boone County which occurred along northbound Interstate 65 near State Road 52 just before 8:00 a.m.
A flatbed semi carrying rolled bales of hay may have been distracted while traveling in the left lane and then proceeded to come over into the right lane where another semi flatbed carrying metal items of coils, rods and bars was traveling.
The driver of that semi saw the other semi coming over into his lane and turned hard right onto the right shoulder to avoid being hit before attempting to straighten out his rig but was unable to do so and ended up striking two cars.
Meanwhile the driver of flatbed semi hauling hay also over corrected, but in doing so also struck two cars.
No one was reportedly injured out of the incident and the interstate remained closed for about 3 hours during the cleanup.
No charges have been filed against anyone as the investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
