FRANKLIN COUNTY, OH : One person killed in two-vehicle crash on Wednesday afternoon July 9th 2014

A man from Hermann died Wednesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Franklin County between Washington and New Haven, the Missouri Highway Patrol said.

Timothy E. Dineen, 69, was killed. Shortly after 3:30 p.m., Dineen was driving eastbound on Highway 100 west of Bluff Road when his car crossed the center line and struck an SUV head-on.

The driver of that vehicle, Paula H. Gleitz, 63, of New Haven, was seriously hurt and airlifted to Mercy Medical Center in Creve Coeur. Dineen was pronounced dead at the scene. Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
