The suspect in the hit-and-run of a pedestrian on a freeway ramp in Tempe has contacted authorities.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety says the suspect called 911 after the Saturday morning collision and admitted to involvement.
DPS troopers are following up.
Authorities have not identified the person or said if the suspect will be arrested.
According to DPS, a pedestrian was struck on a transition ramp between State Route 101 and the US 60.
The victim was taken to a Scottsdale hospital and is expected to be fine.
The suspect's vehicle was later recovered in the area of I-10 and Elliott Road.
DPS shut down the ramp for about four hours.
The incident remains under investigation.
