Motorcyclist killed on Lee Road in Florida

A 21-year-old motorcyclist was killed Friday morning in a two-vehicle accident on Lee Road and Edgewater Drive, the Florida Highway Patrol reported.Troopers said Luis Escalera of Apopka was westbound on Lee Road in the center lane, driving his motorcycle above the speed limit.
About the same time, Christopher Hudmon was driving east on Lee Road, and traveled into the left turn lane to travel north onto Edgewater Drive.

As Hudmon tried to make the left turn, he traveled into Escalera's path, troopers said. The front of the motorcycle struck the back of Hudmon's van.Hudmon was not injured and Escalera was killed.
