MULBERRY, FL : 1 dead in fiery Mulberry car vs. semi crash on Thursday, 6th December 2018

The name of the deceased victim in a fiery crash between a tractor-trailer and a sedan early Thursday morning in Mulberry still has not been released, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.The fatal crash occurred at 1:06 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 640 and Highway 37 South. Both roadways were closed to traffic for an extended period over the following 11-plus hours for cleanup efforts of fuel and hydraulic fluid.
The identity of the deceased is still unknown, the Sheriff’s Office said, and no next-of-kin notification has subsequently been able to be made. It is believed the victim in the crash was pronounced dead at the scene.
