A man is dead after a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 93 just south of Pablo on Tuesday evening. Montana Highway Patrol trooper Tony Isbell reports that the victim was driving a compact car that rear-ended a truck hauling potatoes at around 5:30 p.m. Isbell says shortly before the crash, a driver had called authorities to report reckless driving with a description that matched the white compact car. The driver of the potato truck was not injured, and Isbell says both drivers were wearing their seat belts and that neither vehicle carried any passengers. Isbell says the crash is still being investigated and they have not confirmed whether alcohol and speed were factors. The name of the victim has not yet been released.
