One dead, 3 hurt in I-4 crash near Lake Mary
A 47-year-old Winter Springs woman was killed and three other people were hurt one critically in a crash on westbound Interstate 4 Friday.A tire separated on a 1998 Ford sport utility vehicle in which Angela Crom was a passenger, the Florida Highway Patrol said. The SUV left the highway about 5:15 p.m. and overturned several times.The 43-year-old Altamonte Springs woman who was driving the SUV was in critical condition late Friday at Orlando Regional Medical Center. Her name was not released.Another passenger, Sheila Daniels, 44, of Longwood received minor injuries.A second driver, Nathan Standley, 39, of Lake Mary also received minor injuries when he steered his 1999 Pontiac away from the SUV as it careened out of control. Standley hit a light pole on the shoulder.Traffic was backed up for several miles for about five hours while troopers investigated.
