Pittsburgh, PA : One person died, several injured in a head-on collision between a bus and car in McCandless on Wednesday, August 3, 2016

Authorities in western Pennsylvania say a head-on collision between a bus and a car killed one person and injured several other people in a Pittsburgh suburb.

A Port Authority of Allegheny County spokesman said the crash involving the Port Authority bus happened at about 5:30 p.m. in McCandless.

Spokesman Adam Brandolph said the driver of the passenger vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. Three other people, including the bus driver, were taken to local hospitals.

Port Authority police are investigating.
