Salgado was later found unharmed in Calmar by police. The investigation into this accident, which occurred around 2:20 am, is continuing.A two-vehicle collision then took place around 4:45 pm Tuesday on Highway 52, north of Decorah. Authorities say 18-year-old Phoenix Peterson of Mabel, MN, was driving a car south and entered a warning area for an upcoming work zone. That’s when the truck driven by 22-year-old Devin Funk of Harmony, MN, apparently pulled out of a driveway and into Peterson’s path. The crash temporarily blocked Highway 52 and caused approximately $13,000 in property damage. Peterson, Funk and an unidentified passenger in Funk’s truck were checked at the scene by Winneshiek Medical Center Ambulance for non-life threatening injuries.Funk has been cited for failure to provide proof of insurance, no valid driver’s license and failure to yield.
