Nashville, TN : Driver runs away after crashing into median in north Nashville on Wednesday, May 4, 2016

Metro police are trying to find out what happened to a driver who crashed into a median overnight north of Nashville.

The driver was coming off Brick Church Pike onto Briley Parkway around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday when they lost control and rolled into the median.

When officers arrived to the crash, they saw the driver get out of the passenger side and take off. They didn't find evidence of alcohol or drugs inside the car.

Officials are following up with the home address registered to the car since they don't know who the driver is.

Police are working to find out if the wrecked Chevy Equinox was stolen. It has a Davidson County license plate.
