A 16-year-old Davidsburg girl was injured in a head-on crash Saturday on I-96 near Coopersville.
Savanah Lobo was in stable condition following the 2:43 p.m. crash on westbound I-96 near 68th Avenue, said Ottawa County Sheriff Sgt. Brian Buter.
Lobo was a backseat passenger in a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Jason Schwerin, 19, of Davidsburg.
Schwerin was driving west on the freeway when a red TransAm cut him off, forcing him to take evasive action and go off onto the shoulder of the road.
When his SUV re-entered the highway, he struck another car head-on, Buter said.
The second vehicle was driven by Francis Maslar, 58, of Grosse Isle. He was not injured.
Schwerin and his front seat passenger, Kaitlyn Lobo, 19, also of Davidsburg, were not injured.
