Maryland City, MD : Three people injured after a two-car crash at Route 198 and Brock Bridge Road on Tuesday morning, December 22, 2015
A woman and two young children were hospitalized Tuesday morning following a two-car crash in Maryland City, a county fire official said.
A sedan rear-ended a box truck around 9:30 a.m. at Route 198 and Brock Bridge Road, said department spokesman Capt. Russ Davies.
A 35-year-old woman, a 4-year-old boy and a 1-year-old girl were trapped in the sedan, Davies said. The children were freed from the car before paramedics arrived, he said.
It took firefighters about 15 minutes to extricate the woman from the car, Davies said. She was transported to Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore with injuries that were considered serious but not life-threatening.
