Portland, OR : One person killed, one critically injured in two-car crash at NE 33rd and Columbia Boulevard on Wednesday, February 25, 2015

Emergency crews responded to a fatal crash in northeast Portland on Wednesday.

Firefighters were at the scene of the two-vehicle crash at Northeast 33rd and Columbia Boulevard just before 5 p.m.

Police said one person was killed and another was critically injured. No other people were in the cars, according to firefighters. It wasn't immediately clear what led to the crash.

Northeast Columbia Boulevard was closed in both directions at 33rd Avenue. Drivers were advised to avoid the area and use Lombard-Pacific Highway as an alternate route.
