New Hartford, N.Y : 2 injured in New Hartford crash on Tuesday, March 21, 2017
Two people were injured in a car accident that closed down a portion of Seneca Turnpike for an hour, town police said.
Shortly before 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dallas Hanna, 24, of Whitesboro, failed to yield the right of way to another vehicle while pulling out into traffic from the entrance road to Par Technology, police said.
As a result, Hanna's vehicle collided with a vehicle headed west on Seneca Turnpike operated by BettyJo Savastano, 24, of Vernon, police said.
Hanna and Savastano were treated at the scene by members of the New Hartford Fire Department and Edwards and Ambulance for minor injuries and transported to local hospitals for treatment, officials said.
Hanna was issued a traffic ticket for failing to yield the right of way while entering a roadway, police said.
