Cleveland, OH : One person died and another injured after a single-vehicle accident on E. 140th Street near Aspinwall Ave. on Wednesday morning, Oct 7, 2015

A man is dead and a woman is injured after an early Wednesday morning crash on Cleveland's east side.

The single-vehicle accident occurred on E. 140th Street near Aspinwall Ave. just after 12:30 a.m.

Officials on the scene tell WKYC that the vehicle crashed into a CSX bridge support.

The man, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center by Cleveland EMS in stable condition.

The Cleveland Police Accident Investigation Unit and the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office responded to the scene.

The accident remains under investigation.
