Motorcyclist killed in 1 a.m. crash ID'd in New Haven Connecticut

A motorcycle driver was killed after crashing into a tree in Wallingford early Thursday morning.The accident happened around 1 a.m., in the area of 1179 Old Colony Rd.Upon arrival, police said they found 52-year-old Raymond Stone dead on the scene.Preliminary investigation revealed that Stone's Harley Davidson motorcycle left the paved portion of Old Colony Rd. and crashed into a tree on the west side of the road.The road remained closed until 6:30 a.m.The crash remains under investigation.
