Investigators say a five-car crash in central New York has left seven people injured.

The Post-Standard of Syracuse reports the crash occurred just after noon Monday in Clay. Investigators say the incident started when a car pulled out of a grocery store parking lot and a second car swerved into an adjacent lane and hit a car, leading to a chain-reaction crash.

Seven people were transported to Syracuse hospitals with injuries that aren't life-threatening.

No charges have been filed.

The crash remains under investigation.
