Monticello,IN : 1 dead, 3 injured in chairlift accident on Lake Freeman on Friday, 1st June 2018

One person is dead and three others seriously injured when a chairlift collapsed and plunged down a 100-foot embankment and into Lake Freeman below.

According to reports, the Monticello Fire Department was called at about 7 p.m. Friday in reference to an incident involving a private chairlift that had collapsed and plummeted about 100 feet down a steep embankment. The lift was reportedly installed to carry people from their homes to the lake below.
