Dothan, AL : Two dead in Ozark wreck on April, Friday 7th 2017

A multi-vehicle crash resulted in the death of two people Friday in Ozark.

The crash happened at 11:06 a.m. near the intersection of U.S. Highway 231 North and Alabama Highway 123. According to a release from the Ozark Police Department, the accident involved three vehicles and one tractor trailer.

According to the Ozark Police statement, the fatalities came from occupants in separate vehicles.

The victims pronounced dead at the scene include Dewitt Ray Pierce, 57, of Ozark and Daniel Lea Day, 63, of Montgomery.

Ozark Police stated the cause of the accident is currently unknown. An investigation is underway.

Ozark Police, Dale County Sheriff's deputies, Ozark Fire and EMS and Alabama State Troopers all responded to the wreck.
