Monessen, PA : Bolivar man killed in crash on Route 711 in St. Clair Twp on Saturday, September 2, 2017
A Bolivar man was killed Saturday evening when the car he was driving struck a tree in St. Clair Township, according to the Westmoreland County coroner.
Sean M. Rummel, 27, was pronounced dead at the scene at 8 p.m., according to a news release.
Investigators said Rummel was traveling north on Route 711 when the crash happened. Rummel was not wearing a seat belt at the time, according to the release. He died from multiple blunt force injuries.
St. Clair Township police could not immediately be reached Monday.
Rummel served multiple tours of duty with the Army and was an active member of the New Florence Veterans of Foreign Wars post, according to his obituary.
Arrangements are being handled by Stuart Funeral Home in New Florence. A visitation will be held 2-8 p.m. Thursday and full military honors will be presented at 7:30 p.m.
