Garden City,KS : Texas man killed in Haskell County crash on May,Tuesday 29th 2018

A 42-year-old Texas man was killed Tuesday afternoon when the semi he was driving struck downed power lines on a county road in rural Haskell County.

Louis James Torres, of Midland, Texas, was eastbound in a 2005 International semi on Road 50 about 17 miles north of Satanta at about 3:16 p.m., when he struck the downed power lines, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol. Road 50 was closed at the time of the accident.
