Tallahassee, FL : One dead after rear-end crash with transit bus in Cocoa on Wednesday, December, 6th 2017

A Titusville woman who crashed into a transit bus around 4 p.m. Wednesday died from her injuries at Wuesthoff Hospital, Florida Highway Patrol says.

Vella Quist, 63, was driving a Hyundai Santa Fe in the northbound lane of US1 when she failed to stop as she approached the stationary transit bus, which had just picked up passengers, according to FHP. No passengers on the bus were injured.

"The bus was rolling away from the stop and a Santa Fe ran into the back," said spokesman for Brevard County Fire Rescue Don Walker. "The woman was injured at the scene, but was up and walking around. And then she started having breathing problems."
