Lauderhill, FL : 9 students injured in school bus crash in a parking lot off Rock Island Road on Monday afternoon, Oct 19, 2015

Nine students were injured Monday in a crash involving a school bus in Lauderhill, fire rescue officials said.

The crash was reported Monday afternoon in a parking lot off Rock Island Road.

Officials said the bus was transporting special needs students, some of whom suffered minor injuries.

Paramedics said they had a hard time communicating with the children, but have notified parents who are on their way to the parking lot where the accident happened.

No other details were immediately released.
