VIDA, OR : Driver killed in fiery crash on Hwy 126 on Wednesday, August 9, 2017

An SUV that went off the highway and hit a boulder was engulfed in flames by the time firefighters arrived on scene Wednesday, Oregon State Police said.
The driver of the 2001 Ford Explorer died in the crash and fire.
Police said the person's identity has not yet been confirmed as of Thursday afternoon.
The crash happened around 4:25 p.m. on Highway 126, east of Vida.
Investigators do not yet know what caused the eastbound SUV to leave the roadway.
