Harris County ,TX :Driver crashes into semi-trailer, extricated from vehicle on Sunday , June 28th 2015

A driver had to be extricated from his car after he slammed into a semi-trailer in north Harris County on Sunday morning.The incident happened at Highway 249 and Old Bammel N. Houston about 1:30 a.m.According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the truck tried to make a turn into a parking lot in front of oncoming southbound traffic. A driver, who did not see the truck, crashed into one of its side tires, according to deputies.The Northwest Fire Department pulled the man from the car and he was taken to Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital in serious condition.The driver of the 18-wheeler was not hurt.
