Jasper County, SC : Baxter teen killed in weekend crash on Sunday, 9th September 2018

A 17-year-old from Baxter was killed Sunday in a single-vehicle accident.
At 12:24 a.m. Sunday, a motorist reported finding the accident after investigating debris in the roadway a few miles west of Baxter on Highway F17. Jasper County deputies, and Baxter police and emergency medical personnel arrived at the scene and located Jacob Moorman, who was treated at the scene and later transported to a Des Moines hospital by LifeFlight.
“It appear that he lost control of his vehicle after entering the north shoulder of Highway F17,” stated Chief Deputy John R. Halferty of the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office in a news release.
