New Heaven, IN : Woodburn woman injured in a two-vehicle crash in New Heaven on Friday night, January 30, 2015
A 59-year-old Woodburn woman was hospitalized with serious injuries after a two-vehicle crash Friday night in New Haven.
Indiana State Police Troopers Caleb Anderson and Jeffrey Goehring investigated the crash at around 9:30 p.m., according to a news release. A 2004 Ford SUV driven by Joanne R. Bradtmueller, 59, of Woodburn was traveling northbound on Entrance Drive near Indiana 930 when it allegedly ran through a stop sign. Bradtmueller’s SUV entered Indiana 930 and into the path of an eastbound 2004 Kenworth semi tractor driven by a New Jersey man.
Bradtmueller’s vehicle was struck broadside by the semi, and even though she was wearing her seatbelt, she suffered multiple broken bones and internal injuries, according to the release. She was taken to Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. Police did not know her condition. The other driver, who was also wearing his seatbelt, was not injured.
Anderson and Goehring were helped at the scene by the New Haven Police and Fire departments. The crash remains under investigation.
