Cincinnati, OH : Man in critical condition after motorcycle crash on I-71 Saturday evening May 24, 2014

Cincinnati Police are seeking witnesses to a Saturday evening crash on Interstate 71 that has left a motorcyclist in critical condition.

The accident happened just after 9 p.m. on SB I-71 between the Reading Road and Gilbert Avenue exit, Cincinnati Police officials say.

Police say Marc Vergona, 33, was operating a 2003 Suzuki CV650 motorcycle when he crashed into the back of a 2002 Jeep Liberty. The driver of the Jeep, Stephanie Vanarsdale, 26, was uninjured.

Vergona lost control of his motorcycle, struck the median barrier wall and was ejected from the motorcycle, police said. He was wearing a helmet.

Vergona was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he remains in critical condition as of Sunday morning.
