SCOTIA, NY : Fatal car-pedestrian crash on Route 5 in front of 24 Mohawk Ave on Wednesday, 28th November 2018

A woman was struck and killed by a car in Scotia Wednesday evening, Scotia police said.

The crash happened at about 6:40 p.m. on Route 5 in front of 24 Mohawk Ave.

The victim was treated at the scene by Scotia Fire Department paramedics and taken to Ellis Hospital, where she was pronounced dead, police said.
