FORT WALTON BEACH, FL : Two-vehicle crash closes part of Eglin Parkway on Sunday, 25th November 2018

Two cars collided Monday morning on Eglin Parkway, causing one northbound and one southbound lane to be closed while the Fort Walton Beach Police Department assessed the scene.

The accident, between a blue Ford Focus and a gray Honda Fit, happened around 9:10 a.m. in front of Tires Plus at the intersection of Eglin and Hospital Drive N.E. The Ford had front-end damage on the right side, and the Honda had damage to the left front.

Both vehicles were facing north — the Ford in the intersection, and the Honda in the far right lane in front of McDonald’s. Scanner traffic said the collision was head-on, but it was unclear how the accident happened. No EMS arrived on scene and it appeared there were no injuries in the crash.

A Tona’s Paint and Body tow truck arrived on scene shortly after the accident occurred to remove the vehicles from the roadway.

We will update this story with new information as it becomes available.
