Police say a motorcyclist was killed after he failed to negotiate a turn on Long Island.
Suffolk County police say it happened while Christopher Danielsen was riding his 2006 Kawasaki on Jefferson Avenue in Port Jefferson Station Sunday night.
Police say the motorcycle left the road and crashed into several parked cars at Diamond Auto Body and Glass on Route 112.
The 36-year-old Sound Beach resident was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The motorcycle was impounded for a safety check.
